Hillsborough County Coaches Certification
All Managers and Coaches must be certified and have background check. Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Hillsborough County, Florida Athletic Services Section
Certification is valid for two years and certification must be renewed during the last six months of the second year of validity. Certification may be renewed by taking any level.

New process for all youth volunteers:
1. Fill out new background application (see attached pdf) with copy of Driver's License
2. Mail or deliver to above address - NOTE: this address is different from the attached pdf...use the above address
3. Picture ID cards will be issued only when a background check comes back celared and coaches training has been completed
4. You must now pre-registration for any coach's training beginning January, 2009. In order to register, you must have cleared the background check. You will be notified by e-mail.
5. NYSCA is approved as a substitute for the county required coach's training program. A copy of card will be necessary in order to get credit for the course (see below for details).

As an alternative to the Hillsborough County free youth training program you may take an online course for $25. This course is good for only one year. You receive overview training and one sport specific training. Use Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation as the sponsor and New Tampa LL as the Program.
