May 23rd game summary: Efficient pitching and crisp defense set the tone of the game early and maintained the pace throughout. Nicholas Dicceco, Steven Hill, and Justin Threadgill were on the hill and combined to complete the game in an astounding fifty-one pitches while giving up only one walk. Zach Emiliozzi at 2nd base converted two hard hit balls into outs while Carson Shidel was solid all day behind the plate to lead the Astro’s defense. Cameron Rowe, Niko Domiguez, and Sam Chronister led the offense, with Cameron setting the tone early with an RBI triple in the first inning, Niko Domiguez leading off the second inning with a scorching line drive single, and Sam Chronister following up with a magnificent homerun drive that cleared the center field fence. The team then followed with seven straight runs before recording the first out of the second inning. The Astros face Zepherhills Monday evening at 7:15. Senior BB - NTLL win 19 - 7 over Zephyrhills
Junior BB - NTLL Cardinals lost 0 - 16 to Temple Terrace Minor SB - NTLL Pirates lost 0 - 1 to Land O' Lakes
Major SB - NTLL Rays win 11 - 1 over Zephyrhills The team pulled together and played another fun game of softball, by beating the Zephyrhill's team 11-1, within those 5 innings. Meagan Belle pitched a wonderful game using her screwball,fastball and changeup to strike out 9 Zephyrhills players and we also threw out 3 girls stealing and managed to steal 16 extra bases our selves. The whole team adjusted to there pitching and with a combination of solid hitting and patience, we were able to play a wonderful game of small ball as well. Next up is land o' lakes on 5-24-10 @ 7:00pm Live Oak 4. Girls keep it going. May 24th game summary: Major Phillies win 4-1 over Lutz. Great game with score of 1-1 after 4 innings and a 1 hour rain delay. NTLL faced an excellent Lutz pitcher who pitched into the 5th inning. NTLL finally was able to add 3 runs in the top of the 5th inning as Matt Lyons and Tyler Garam were on base when Mason Strickland doubled to left. A sacrifice fly by Ethan Thomas scored the final run to make it 4-1. Jordan Gott pitched a great first inning and Tyler Garam went the rest of the way and had an excellent outing. Jeff Guttentag opened the game with a single to right and eventually scored to make it 1-0. Steady defense from Mark Munzo, Ben Bates, Mykail Robinson, Brian Seybold and Miguel Hernandez made it difficult for Lutz to gain any momentum. Next up, Tuesday championship game against Dade City. In the semifinal game on Monday evening the NTLL Astros were matched up against Zephyrhills Little League. Pitcher Nicholas Dicecco allowed two hits, two base-on-balls, and three runs enroute to a complete game. The defensive play kept Zephyrhills at bay converting most of their opportunities into outs. On offense, the Astros exploded for 24 runs with both Niko Dominguez and Cameron Rowe hitting fence rattling shots barely missing base clearing homeruns. Luke Ford was 2 for 3 with three runs scored and Greg Taylor scored three runs in an impressive overall offensive effort. The Astros who completed the game with a 24-3 victory will play the winner of the Lutz vs. Land-O-Lake’s contest for the championship Tuesday night at 7:00pm. Senior BB - NTLL win 16 - 6 over Dade City
New Tampa took care of Dade City on Monday night in a ten run five inning game. Zack Zaversnik pitched a complete game for the win. Ryan Lawson had a home run in the first inning to help New Tampa to a 5-1 lead after one. New Tampa scored in every inning with multiple hits from Carl Fombrun and Zaversnik. Will Ferguson, Alex Kranick, Danny Molino, Mike Gonzalez and Collin Brich all had a hit to help lead the attack. New Tampa plays Tuesday night for the championship.
Major SB - NTLL Rays WIN T.O.C. Championship 7 - 2 over Land O'Lakes JR/SR SB - NTLL Pirates win 12 - 9 over Dade City Jennifer Rennard pitched the 7 inning complete game win. Dade City wouldn’t go away. A clutch bases loaded double that hit the fence in the air by Nicky Dixon was the game changer. Tyler Smith and Ashley Booth had clutch 2 out rbi's.
May 25th game summary: Senior BB - NTLL wins T.O.C. Championship 18 - 2 over Lutz JR / SR SB - NTLL Pirates lost 3 - 17 to Zephyhills

Major BB - NTLL Phillies win 10 - 4 over Land O Lakes
Jeff Guttentag blasted a 3rd inning grand slam to put NTLL up 7-0. Ethan Thomas pitched strong into the sixth inning and Ben Bates came in to close out the game. Great pitching and timely hitting were the keys for the Phillies as Mark Munzo, Mykail Robinson, Brian Seybold and Mason Strickland contributed offensively.. Solid defense with Tyler Garam, Justin Angel, Miguel Hernandez and Matt Lyons covering the outfield.
Minor BB - NTLL Astros win 16 - 3 over Temple Terrace
New Tampa got off to a great start behind the pitching of Mike Gonzalez and the hitting of the entire team. New Tampa got 13 runs in the first two innings, while Gonzalez held Zephyrhills scoreless with no hits. Danny Molino and Zack Zaversnik hit long home runs, while Will Ferguson, Colin Brich, Ryan Lawson, Wellington Reyes and Bryan Karmann all had multiple hits in the game. New Tampa plays Dade City on Monday.
The Junior Cardinals came in with no pitching left. Myles Henderson, Jason Decker and Jeremy Cruz tried to hold off a big offensive attack by Temple Terrace but to no avail. Derek French, Alec Cordero, Joshua Castillo, Eric Cantos and Jared Barclay provided the offense but timely hitting was lacking as we left 8 runners stranded on base. Wayne Merchant and Aarish Rojiani contributed plays in the outfield.
Tough loss for the Minor A Pirates. Down 0-1 in the 6th Vivica Smith lead off with a triple but couldn’t get the run across the plate. Kristi Bimonte pitched a terrific game but the Pirates had multiple opportunities but couldn’t push a run across the plate.
